Join us as we embark on a journey of a 100 million steps in support of national and regional beneficiaries serving those impacted by COVID-19.
Each year, BAPS Charities Canada hosts 13 Walkathons across the country. Year after year, the Walks remind us that we can walk farther when we walk together. Being a virtual event, you can participate from wherever you live in Canada. Each step we take in support of our beneficiaries is a step in support of the joy of others, through which we can discover our own.
In our efforts to collectively walk a 100 million steps, we are united in the spirit of service even though we are apart. Let’s get moving TOGETHER!
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, BAPS Charities has supported communities across the country by donating PPE, distributing care and food packages, making phone calls of support, educating people through webinars, donating food to food banks and organizing other COVID-19 relief related local and international initiatives.
In May, the Ontario government worked together with BAPS Charities and the William Osler Health System to establish and operate a pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the BAPS Toronto Location. The clinic was very successful, administering over 21,000 vaccines in 24 days. Through its affiliated centres and hospitals in India, BAPS Charities is supporting relief initiatives in non-clinical areas assisting victims and their families affected by the pandemic.
But the need now is much greater than ever before.
BAPS Charities Walk/Run 2021 would like to continue serving those impacted by COVID-19 and together support our partnered beneficiaries: William Osler Health System, CNIB Foundation, Scarborough Health Network and Victoria General Hospital Foundation.
BAPS Charities is a registered charity in Canada. Volunteers of BAPS Charities drive its efforts, dedicating a portion of their lives in selfless service to others, both in their local neighbourhoods, as well as globally. Working in five key areas, BAPS Charities aims to express a spirit of selfless service through Health Awareness, Educational Services, Humanitarian Relief, Environmental Protection & Preservation and Community Empowerment.

Walk|Run:
During the days of the event (Aug 1 to Aug 15), you can walk or run at your convenience with members of your household. It is preferred that all participants (family members) wear t-shirts of same or similar colour during the walk. Please abide to your local health and safety guidelines.
Log:
You can log your steps and photos under the “MY ACTIVITIES” LOG of your personal page during the days of the event.
Keep walking or running until you reach your goal to meet our collective goal of 100 million steps!
