Our Management
The activities of BAPS Charities are run
independent of its parent organization, BAPS Swaminarayan
Sanstha, and are managed by a diverse Board of Directors,
who meet regularly and serve without reward, and whose personal
opinions and interests are in line with the vision,
mission, commitments
and convictions mentioned above.

Our History
Founded in 1907 and functioning as a charity since
1950, the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha's charitable activities
were motivated by the organization's strong commitment to
serving society. After over 50 years of exceeding expectations,
the time had come to formalize and expand these important
programs and services. BAPS Charities was thus
created and officially registered in 2000 as the independent,
nonprofit and nonreligious social services arm of BAPS Swaminarayan
Sanstha.
What began almost a century ago as a humble organization
has evolved over the decades into an international public
charity. With a dedicated corps of more than 55,000 volunteers
networked in over 3,300 centers around the world, it engages
in no less than 160 humanitarian services.
Today, BAPS Charities is recognized the world
over for its sincerity, deliverability, sustainability and
credibility.

Our
Credibility
The universal work, selfless motives, and spirit of
service of BAPS Charities have made it the recipient
of international awards and applause - including membership
of its parent organization on the Economic & Social
Council of the United Nations.
These worldwide services have had a powerful impact not
only on the people we help, but also on people who help.
This includes international leaders, government officials,
community workers, multinational corporations, foundations,
trusts, NGOs and other charity organizations.
We are thankful and proud to have been recognized by these
highly reputed individuals and groups as a credible pubic
charity. Many have visited our centers, met volunteers and
exchanged words of appreciation. And many have worked with,
proposed to work with, or are currently working with BAPS Charities to improve the lives of people around
the world.
