MEDICO-SPIRITUAL CONFERENCE IN EDISON, NJ

BAPS Charities & BAPS Medical Inc organized a Medico-Spiritual Conference on the morning of Sunday, May 23, 2004. Held in the presence of President of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, Pramukh Swami, hundreds of physicians, dentists and pharmacists were present to hear about the crucial role spirituality plays in medicine.

All the speakers spoke at length about the existence of a higher power beyond medicine. In his address to the conference, Pramukh Swami discussed that even though the doctors treat bodily diseases, there are countless diseases of the mind and the soul that can only be cured by resorting to a spiritual element.

Dr. John Grun, the director of the Edison Department of Health, was also present to meet Pramukh Swami.
