gets a new website

BAPS Charities has launched a new website, providing
better, up-to-date information and more ways for donors to get involved.
The original website was launched in 2001. After the Gujarat
Earthquake on January 21, 2001, BAPS Charities immediately
began its disaster relief services. An awareness campaign
raised over $1,000,000 through the website. This
money helped to re-habilitate thousands of communities.
This experience resulted in the understanding that a more
robust website could be an even greater tool for fundraising
and creating awareness of the needs of individuals
and communities in India and around the world.
Therefore, 2 years later a team of BAPS Charities associates
and volunteers gathered and created a road map for BAPS Charities. The culmination of that work is www.bapscare.org.
The new website provides:
- clear and concise information of all BAPS Charities activities
- information on the present situation of needy individuals
and communities in India
- details on how BAPS Charities is working to create a real
and lasting change
- a Priority Projects section shows you where
BAPS Charities has presently committed its resources
- an easy way for others to donate
