| BAPS Charities YOUTH LEADERS GATHER
TO FULFILL A COMMON GOAL
10.17.2004
Chicago, IL, USA
A group of more than 150 BAPS Charities youth volunteers from across North America assembled in Chicago from October 15 to 17 to plan outreach activities to serve the community in the upcoming year. It is through the platform of such meetings that BAPS Charities educates youngsters and nurtures in these individuals qualities that will make them a positive force in the community.
At the meeting volunteers planned to develop their regions through an array of new projects that will be implemented at local centers to enhance the reach of BAPS Charities activities in all of North America. A new team was formed to support 'Mystic India,' a large-format film presented by BAPS Charities International. The meeting also reorganized the current structure of BAPS Charities youth activities in North America by creating Regional Team leaders and administrators to better link and coordinate the services between the national and regional levels. The meeting thus opened new avenues for the progress of various activities.
The volunteers also participated in a team-building activity that allowed them to navigate through downtown Chicago. In addition there were sessions addressed by seniors integrated with interactive game sessions that reflected on the common goal, service of the society. These sessions were a great source of inspiration for all involved.
