BAPS Charities, Clifton, NJ, organized its fifth annual health fair on October 9, 2005 from 8:30am to 1pm. Volunteers greeted and registered over 200 participants. This year, an enhanced and improved computer-based registration system was implemented which streamlined the registration process.

Among services that were provided included: full physical examination, complete blood chemistry analysis, ophthalmologic examination including glaucoma screening, hearing examination, EKG, oral cancer screening, dental examination, bone density measurement to screen for osteoporosis, colon cancer screening, gastrointestinal screening, ayurvedic consultation, and nutritional guidance. Over 180 blood samples were drawn for complete blood chemistry as well as metabolic profile.

A team of twenty five physicians, dentists, and allied healthcare practitioners from surrounding localities volunteered their time, equipment, and clinical expertise to make this health fair a success.

At the end of the event, they were honored by BAPS Charities representatives for their service to the community.
