With the rising need of quality health
care services in southern Gujarat, BAPS Charities
held the opening of BAPS Pramukh Swami Hospital and Research
Centre on Sunday, 30th January in the city of Surat, India.
The 110,000 sq.ft hospital and research facility will be
a hub for all medical services in southern Gujarat including
inpatient care, outpatient care, and emergency services.
The hospital will hold 150-beds with 9 top-notch operating
theatres, and 23 comprehensive consultation services in
general surgery, orthopedics, plastic surgery, neurology,
urology, nephrology, oncology, cardiology, cardiovascular
surgery, psychiatry, and others. Also, 12 specialized services
will include trauma care, ICU, NICU, PICU, joint replacement
unit, laparoscopic unit, mammography, TMT stress testing,
and others.
The six-floor facility will house state-of-the art diagnostic
medical technology such as CT scans, MRI machines, color
doppler, echocardiography, sonography, endoscopy, dialysis,
ECG, EEG, EMG, amongst others. A well-equipped laboratory
complete with an auto analyzer, cell counter, histopathology
facilities, and other machines will aid in diagnosis and
treatment methods. 24-hour emergency services will be provided
in the radiology, pathology and pharmacy departments.
In addition, patients will have access to allopathic, ayurvedic,
and homeopathic treatments. An anti-addiction unit and a
serene prayer room will provide solace to the patients.
The 1.029 acre hospital and research facility will run
under the leadership of highly professional and qualified
physicians and health care personnel. This hospital will
meet the needs of the citizens living in the city of Surat
and surrounding villages.
BAPS Charities has built and managed 14 charitable
hospitals, clinics and healthcare centers in India in addition
to providing services through 11 medical mobile vans and
free diagnostic camps in tribal areas. To date, over 610,000
patients have been treated in our medical facilities. Many
