BAPS Charities organized a medical conference on
November 19, 2005 in Tampa, FL. Doctors of the Tampa area
from different specialties ranging from surgery, to oncology
and diabetes to name but a few, converged at the took part
in the Medical Conference. Several presentations promoting
higher medical ethics and the importance of raising the
standard of service were given. This conference encouraged
health professionals to foster ethical values while practicing
medicine.
One of the objectives was also to introduce the proposed
medical clinic at the center which would cater to the needs
of the community offering a wide range of services. Dr.
Harshad Patel spoke about the medical activities of BAPS Charities and proposed medical clinic. The gathering
enabled doctors to glean greater insight into the workings
of the clinic and how they could contribute to the clinic
which would be opened officially in 2006.
