BAPS Charities HEALTH FAIR
COLUMBUS, OH

10.28.2006
Columbus, OH , USA

BAPS Charities, Columbus Ohio, held its first Health Fair on Saturday, October 28th, 2006 from 9:00AM to 1:00PM. Volunteers greeted and registered over 130 participants with an enhanced and improved computer-based registration system to streamline the registration process.

The services included full physical examination (adult, child), blood pressure screening, blood sugar and lipid profile, ophthalmologic examination, bone density measurement and nutritional guidance.

In order to address the unique needs of women's health, a Women's Wellness Clinic was also made available to female participants. This included screenings, check-ups, and education on proper hygiene, self-examination techniques, and preventative care.

A team of twelve physicians, and healthcare practitioners from surrounding localities volunteered their time, equipment, and clinical expertise to make this health fair a success. At the end of the event, they were honored by BAPS Charities representatives for their service to the community.

The fair received great enthusiasm from the community. BAPS Charities believes events like these are opportunities to raise medical awareness, identify those at risk for serious illness, and fill the healthcare gap found in many of our communities nationwide.
