BAPS Charities, San Francisco held their first-ever
blood drive in partnership with Blood Centers of the Pacific
(BCP) on April 16, 2006. The three hour event was attended
by 31 individuals and 14 became blood donors. Twelve of
the 14 were first-time donors. Amanda Forest of BCP noted
that the BAPS Charities organizers put together
a very successful blood drive. Donating blood saves lives
everyday. BAPS Charities is committed to sustaining
the nation's blood supply by organizing blood drives in
its centers nationwide.
