| BAPS CARE INTERNATIONAL CHANGES NAME TO
BAPS CHARITIES
BAPS Care International
has announced that effective from April 27, 2007 it has
changed its name to BAPS Charities.
"Over the course
of five decades, BAPS Care International has been expanding
its humanitarian and social services activities, said Nilkanth
Patel, President of BAPS Charities, "Our early efforts focused
exclusively on volunteer-driven activities. And now, we
have begun to expand our activities to include partnering
with established charities to provide better services to
an even greater audience while still remaining firmly committed
to our volunteer-driven focus. The name change to BAPS Charities
will better help reflect this shift."
In North America,
BAPS Charities organizes a host of community events in numerous
towns and cities. From walkathons, medical camps and health
fairs to education and career fairs, BAPS Charities' volunteers
work at the grass-roots level to provide a host services
to the community. Worldwide, BAPS Charities has built schools
and hospitals, conducted AIDS-related children's programs,
as well as provide disaster relief for the Kutch Earthquake,
Asian Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina.
The name change
to BAPS Charities will not affect our continued dedication
to serving society. We will move forward committed to the
spirit of selfless service by reaching out, and helping
to address a broader range of issues and concerns faced
by communities.
