BAPS Charities helps families of a Leprosy Camp

09.09.2007
Dar-es-Salaam

Once a month, volunteers of BAPS Charities visit and assist needy families by partnering with various local social service organizations. They volunteer their time to distribute daily amenities and offer moral and materialistic support to the needy.

On Sunday, September 9, 2007, BAPS Charities volunteers visited Nungwe Leprosy. Nearly 400 needy children and 100 families were reached out to. Foodstuff for one month's use was given to each family. The items donated included crisps, tooth paste, sweets, chocolates, soap, biscuits, tea, tooth brushes, petroleum jelly, juices, drinking water, maize flour and sugar.
