BAPS Charities Participates in University of California
Santa Barbara Orfalea Center Workshop

On January 18-19, BAPS Charities participated in the University of California Santa Barbara’s Orfalea Center for Global & International Studies workshop entitled, “A Workshop on Religion and International Affairs: Challenges for International NGOs.” Ankur Patel, a volunteer Program Officer at BAPS Charities, took part in the two-day workshop to offer the unique perspective that BAPS Charities has gained over fifty years of experience in a variety of humanitarian projects. Joining a panel with representatives from Human Rights Watch, Islamic Relief, and Catholic Relief, amongst others, Mr. Patel offered his views on the question of the most important issue involving religion that confronts international NGOs.
