| BAPS Charities Food Drive and Tri-Cycle Donation

On Sunday, January 18, 2009, BAPS Charities organized a food drive at the Salvation Army Camp in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania. Volunteers distributed daily amenities to over 200 children which included some physically challenged children too. Over and above the daily amenities cookies, candies and chips were also distributed which was very much appreciated by all the children. Following is the list of items distributed:
- 100 kg wheat flour
- 60 kg rice
- 25 kg sugar
- 30 kg beans
- 1 carton salt
- 20 carton drinking water
- 20 carton juice
- 180 packets of chips
- 400 pieces of candy
- 200 packets of cookies
BAPS Charities also donated a tri-cycle to Mr. Amosi Nestory who is physically challenged and very much needed a tri-cycle for his everyday transportation.
