BAPS Charities Food Drive, Dar-es-Salaam
 

BAPS Charities volunteers visited Children’s Remand Home on April 28th. The volunteers were not allowed to meet the children at the remand home due to security reasons, however, the children were watching from behind the bars and their eyes were overflowing with joy knowing that the volunteers had come to distribute food to them. Mr. Bwire, head of the remand home received the donated items and promised to distribute them amongst the children immediately. Following is the list of items distributed:
 
• 50 kg Maize Flour
• 25 kg Beans
• 25 kg Sugar
• 25 kg Rice
• 10 kg Salt
• 10 liters Cooking oil
• 10 carton Drinking water
• 10 carton Juice
• 800 packets of Candy
• 200 packets of Biscuits
• 72 packets of Chips
• 288 pieces of Tooth paste
• 60 pieces of Tooth brush
• 152 packing bags
• 40 pieces of Mosquito nets
• 50 T-shirts and shorts
• 50 Aluminum plates and spoons
• Stationery
