On Sunday, November 21, 2010, Dr. Jayrag Patel, M.D. presented a health awareness lecture on Preventative Eye Care for Diabetes, Cataracts, and Glaucoma in Gujarati and English. Dr. Jayrag Patel addressed 300 attendees at Philadelphia, PA. The presentation graphics allowed the audience to see the detrimental changes in the eyes caused by these diseases and how they can cause early blindness if not caught and treated early. The audience left with the important message that by seeing an eye doctor every year these dangerous eye diseases can be detected early and treated well before there is any danger of losing one’s eye sight. After the presentation, audience members had the opportunity to individually ask any eye health questions they had.
