struck the state of Andhra Pradesh which caused an annihilating
tidal wave that drove 12 kilometres inland. |

The magnitude and area of the devastation was wide and large.
BAPS, although not having a centre in Andhra Pradesh at that
time, immediately decided to provide help from Gujarat.

FINANCIAL AID
In aid of the Andhra Pradesh cyclone, BAPS child and youth volunteers
raised Rs.100,000/- through a variety of means at large cities
and towns in Gujarat. The total amount was then donated to the
main helping Government and Non-Governmental bodies working in
the most affected area. |
