 IMMEDIATE HELP
When the devastating
floods struck the District of Malda in West Bengal during
the monsoon months, BAPS Kolkata centre swung into action
and started its relief work immediately. Children and youth
volunteers of the Organisation collected clothes and medicines.
Senior volunteers collected funds to buy utensils, foodstuff
and specific medicines demanded by doctors working in the
devastated area. Taking truckloads of food, medicines, utensils
and clothes, BAPS volunteers personally went to the worst
affected areas outside the town of Malda. Under the guidance
of the District Magistrate of Malda, BAPS distributed relief
to the needy.

were given clothes
Medicine was donated
to a Government run relief clinic in the area.
