Parents of thousands
of children living in Saurashtra, an underdeveloped region
of central Gujarat, simply cannot afford to send their children
to a proper school. In this drought-ridden area, the future
of these children, their families, and the community is
bleak.
Without
a sound education, these innocent children are condemned
to a dismal future – a future of abject poverty,
intense hardship, and no opportunity. A future without
hope.
To
bring hope to the children of Saurashtra, BAPS Charities
has launched one of its largest educational projects: Pramukh
Swami Vidya Mandir - Sarangpur.
Spread
over 37 acres in the village of Sarangpur (Saurashtra),
BAPS Charities is developing this well-resourced primary, secondary
and higher secondary school for 2,000 needy children.
Now,
with the generous support of our donors, we will be able
to provide quality, value-based education for children
in a region where parents would otherwise never be able
to afford it.
