Our primary source of energy
is fossil fuels. As our population increases and the
world's industries grow stronger in the world
market, the demand for energy will increase. However,
there is no guarantee on our how long our supply of
fossil fuels will last.
Solar Panels
Therefore, in an effort to promote energy conservation
BAPS Charities encourages the use of solar panels. In its
main centers around Gujarat, India, BAPS Charities has installed
solar panels to heat water. These centers include:
| Amdavad |
Bochasan |
| Gondal |
Nenpur |
| Sarangpur |
Vadodara |
| Bhadra |
Gadhada |
| Mehsana |
Sankari |
| Surat |
Vidyanagar |
Bio-Gas
These centers also produce
bio-gas. Bio-gas is created from fomenting cattle manure.
It can be transformed into both electricity and heat.
Today biogas is regarded as an important source of energy,
both environmentally friendly and economical. It can
be used in place of fossil fuel, thus saving our precious
environment and cutting the cost of living by more than
half. The fomenting manure can then be used as excellent
natural fertilizer.
