Anti-addiction
drives are a regular, all-year-round activity for BAPS Charities.
Volunteers continually move from village to village, city
to city, meeting and counseling addicts into giving up smoking,
drinking and drugs.
Our
mobile exhibitions are displayed in schools, factories, village
squares, fairs, railway stations and private functions. These drives have attained a long-lasting success.
World's
Largest De-addiction Drive by Children
In 2000, 10,000
children from BAPS Charities' parent organization took part
in a massive de-addiction drive. For 20 days during their
summer holidays, in the scorching heat, they visited relatives,
neighbours, citizens in streets, shops, offices and public
places. They personally handed out literature and spoke
to the public. In the end, nearly 900,000 people were contacted
and 312,500 people were de-addicted.
