BAPS Charities Nationwide Blood Drives

According to the U.S. National Institutes of Health, nearly 14 million units of whole blood and red blood cells is required every year. To support this huge demand, BAPS Charities organizes blood donation drive. This year blood drives were organized in 7 centers collecting over 280 pints of blood. Atlanta organized blood drive twice in June and October collecting 81 pints of blood. The Washington DC center donated 53 pints of blood to the Walter Reed Medical Center which treats US soldiers fighting in Iraq, Afghanistan and various other parts of the world.
