On March 30, 2025, BAPS Charities brought the community together in Fresno, CA for its annual “Spirit of Service: Walk-Run.” This inspiring event encouraged participants to step forward in support of the Fresno Fire Chief’s Foundation, raising awareness for safety education and fire prevention programs while promoting service and well-being.
With nearly 400 participants, the event welcomed individuals of all ages, including Peter Halajian (representing Assemblymember David Tagipa of District 8), Madera County Supervisor Bobby Macaulay, Clovis Mayor Vong Mouanoutoua, District 6 Councilman Nick Richardson, and Fresno Fire Chief Billy Alcorn, who joined in solidarity for the cause.
This BAPS Charities Walk-Run is one of over 100 similar events held across North America as part of a broader initiative benefiting local organizations. For over 20 years, BAPS Charities has organized more than 1,000 walks, making a meaningful impact in communities by supporting important causes and promoting a spirit of service and unity.
