BAPS Charities Walk-Run 2025 in Greensboro, NC

On May 31, 2025, BAPS Charities brought the community together in the Piedmont Triad Area of NC for its annual “Spirit of Service: Walk-Run.” This inspiring event encouraged participants to step forward in support of Industry for the Blind and its mission to empower the blind or visually impaired with life-improving employment opportunities.

With almost 300 participants, the event welcomed individuals of all ages, including Mayor Pro Tem Mike Stone of the City of Oak Ridge NC, Amanda Cook, Councilwoman for the City of High Point, NC, and Vasudha Rangapathy, Vice President of the Industry for the Blind, who all joined in solidarity for the cause.

Reflecting on the day’s impact, Vasudha Rangapathy shared: “Thank you for showcasing the power of community. Together we are creating a more inclusive and hopeful future.”

The BAPS Charities Walk-Run in Greensboro, NC, is one of over 100 similar events held across North America as part of a broader initiative supporting local organizations. For over 20 years, BAPS Charities has organized more than 1,100 walks, making a meaningful impact in communities by supporting important causes and fostering a spirit of service and unity.
