On June 1, 2025, BAPS Charities brought the community together in Matthews, North Carolina, for its annual Spirit of Service: Walk-Run. This uplifting event encouraged participants to take meaningful steps in support of the Levine Senior Center and the Rotary Club of Matthews, raising awareness for local community care while fostering a spirit of service and well-being.
With over 475 participants, the event welcomed individuals of all ages, including Mayor John Higdon of Matthews and Commissioner Ken McCool, who joined in solidarity for the cause.
The BAPS Charities Walk-Run in Matthews is one of over 100 similar events held across North America as part of a broader initiative to support local organizations. For more than 20 years, BAPS Charities has organized over 1,100 walks, making a lasting impact by supporting vital causes and promoting a culture of unity, compassion, and service.
