On June 1, 2025, BAPS Charities brought the community together in Hartford, CT, for its annual “Spirit of Service: Walk-Run.” This inspiring event encouraged participants to step forward in support of the Newington Volunteer Fire Department, the Newington Police Department, and the Rocky Hill Volunteer Fire Department—raising awareness for community safety while promoting service and well-being.
With over 350 participants, the event welcomed individuals of all ages, including the Mayor of Rocky Hill, who joined in solidarity for the cause. Reflecting on the day’s impact, Lisa Marotta, Mayor of Rocky Hill, shared, “The Town of Rocky Hill declares June 1, 2025, as Spirit of Service Day to honor the work done by BAPS Charities for local communities.”
This BAPS Charities Walk-Run is one of over 100 similar events held across North America as part of a broader initiative benefiting local organizations. For over 20 years, BAPS Charities has organized more than 1,100 walks—making a meaningful impact in communities by supporting important causes and promoting a spirit of service and unity.
