BAPS Charities held its annual food drive in Fresno, California, in November 2025, and contributed $10,000 to the Fresno State Student Cupboard to help address shortages caused by the recent federal government shutdown. The shutdown’s impact on SNAP and CalFresh programs placed additional pressure on local food pantries, including the Student Cupboard, which supports thousands of students experiencing food insecurity.
Staff members from Mayor Jerry Dyer’s office, Councilmember Nick Richardson, Fresno State President Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval, and several university faculty members attended the check presentation ceremony. Their presence highlighted the community’s shared commitment to ensuring that Fresno State students have consistent access to essential resources.
BAPS Charities continues to serve the community through food drives, health initiatives, and humanitarian services, staying dedicated to supporting individuals and families in need.
