Women’s Health Lecture on Social Media & Mental Health in Knoxville,TN

In today’s rapidly changing digital world, social media has become deeply woven into everyday life. It shapes how we communicate, learn, build relationships, and spend our time. As part of its Women’s Health Awareness initiatives, BAPS Charities hosted a health lecture on “Social Media & Mental Health”  in Knoxville, TN, on May 9, 2026. Priyanka Zaveri explained how social media affects individuals across all generations, from children and teenagers to parents and seniors, influencing emotional well-being, relationships, attention, and daily habits.

Through thoughtful discussion and reflection, participants explored how excessive screen time, comparison, online pressures, and constant information can affect peace of mind and family life. At the same time, the seminar highlighted how technology can also be used positively to foster connection, learning, support, and inspiration when approached mindfully. Practical guidance was shared on creating healthier digital habits, setting boundaries, strengthening family communication, and becoming more intentional with online engagement.

The lecture also connected these modern challenges with timeless spiritual values such as mindfulness, balance, self-awareness, compassion, and inner discipline. Participants were encouraged to reflect on how small daily choices can help create healthier minds, stronger relationships, and greater peace within themselves and their families. Through educational and health awareness initiatives such as these, BAPS Charities continues its commitment to caring for communities and uplifting individuals through knowledge, compassion, and selfless service to society.
