BAPS Charities Nairobi Donates Essential Food Supplies to Support 300 Students – May, 2026

On the 26th of May, the Nairobi chapter of BAPS Charities donated essential food supplies and daily necessities to Britons Community and Orphanage Camp in Mukuru kwa Njenga slums in Embakasi, Nairobi, as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable communities through the Million Meals Project.
The donation included:
• 50 kg of rice
• 72 kg of maize flour
• 24 kg of wheat flour
• 20 kg of sugar
• 50 kg of green grams
• 10 kg of cooking oil
• 25 kg of Uji Mix
• 25 kg of drinking chocolate
• 12 kg of salt
• 24 packets of sanitary pads
• 15 boxes of biscuits – each box 300 pieces
• Clothes and shoes for children and families in need
• 1 box of assorted books

The supplies are expected to help provide approximately 12,000 meals, ensuring the children from underserved communities have access to regular and nutritious meals.

This initiative forms part of the wider Million Meals Project by BAPS Charities Kenya, which focuses on combating hunger and supporting communities facing food insecurity through sustained food relief efforts and volunteer-driven service activities.
