On April 11, 2026, BAPS Charities, in partnership with Canadian Blood Services, held its “In the Joy of Others” Blood Donation Campaign in Edmonton, AB. The initiative united community members in a shared commitment to service, supporting patients across Canada who depend on life-saving blood donations.
During the drive, nine units of blood and two plasma donations were collected to support hospitals nationwide.
Jasmine Vallarta, Manager – Business Development, Donor Relations & Collections PRN at Canadian Blood Services, said, “I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank you (BAPS Charities) and your team for coming in to donate blood during March and April. Your generosity, time, and commitment have made a meaningful difference. Because of your group’s support, many patients have received the care they needed. Your impact truly reaches farther than you may ever realize.”
“We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all donors and volunteers who contributed to this meaningful effort,” said Yogesh Patel, President of BAPS Charities Canada. “Every donation can help save lives, and the compassion demonstrated by the Edmonton community will make a real difference for patients and their families. We are also thankful to Canadian Blood Services for their ongoing collaboration.”
This blood donation and stem cell registry initiative highlights BAPS Charities’ continued commitment to advancing community health and well-being.
In addition to such drives, BAPS Charities regularly organizes health fairs, educational seminars, and Walk/Run events in support of hospitals and healthcare initiatives across Canada, promoting awareness, prevention, and access to vital health resources.
