BAPS Charities Hosts Campus Hangout, Toronto, ON

On Friday, November 21, 2025, the BAPS Charities hosted its Campus Hangout at the BAPS Complex in Toronto, bringing together university-aged students from campuses across Ontario for a refreshing and meaningful break during the academic season.

The evening began with a welcoming networking dinner, offering students the opportunity to meet new peers, reconnect with friends, and experience a strong sense of community. This relaxed atmosphere set the tone for the reflective portion of the program that followed.

The Campus Hangout centered on the theme of forgiveness as a pathway to inner balance, using the analogy of a musical performance to explore three meaningful dimensions of forgiveness. Through simple yet powerful symbolism, participants were encouraged to reflect on personal growth, relationships, and inner well-being.

The violin symbolized forgiving oneself, illustrating how holding the strings too tightly prevents music from flowing—much like how holding on to guilt can limit personal growth and self-acceptance.

The tabla symbolized forgiveness, emphasizing that rhythm emerges only when both drums respond together, just as harmony in relationships is restored through compassion, understanding, and mutual effort.

The harmonium reflected forgiveness as an inner practice, highlighting how wishing well for others nurtures sincerity, lightness, and clarity within oneself.

Later, students participated in games and sports, filling the space with energy, laughter, and camaraderie. These activities strengthened connections among students from different campuses and reinforced the sense of unity that defines the BAPS Charities Youth Wing community.

The Campus Hangout provided students with an opportunity to pause, reflect, and reconnect- both with themselves and with one another—while balancing the demands of university life.

This event reflects BAPS Charities’ ongoing commitment to supporting youth well-being, education, and career development, fostering values-based reflection, and creating spaces where young adults can build meaningful connections within a supportive community.
