COVID-19 Pandemic: BAPS Charities gifts 1,000 Flowering Plants to Healthcare Professionals at William Osler Health System in Toronto, ON

As the number of COVID-19 cases continues to rise in Canada, healthcare workers remain crucial warriors on the front lines of this pandemic. In recognition of their dedication and commitment and to show our profound gratitude, BAPS Charities gifted 1,000 flowering plants to healthcare workers at the William Osler Health System (Etobicoke General Hospital) in Toronto on June 4, 2020.

“Frontline workers have done so much throughout these unprecedented times and we would like to show our heartfelt appreciation for all their hard work by gifting this small token to brighten their days,” said Shirish Shah, President of BAPS Charities, Canada.

Ken Mayhew, President & CEO at William Osler Health System Foundation, joined BAPS Charities in distributing the plants and said, “On behalf of the thousands of Osler healthcare workers who leave their families behind to continue the battle against COVID, our heartfelt thanks to BAPS Charities for standing beside us as always. Your thoughtful gifts of flowers for our staff brought smiles to everyone. Thank you for your kindness.”

“This is the least we can do to support our healthcare workers and express our gratitude. At the same time, we would like to encourage others to also support the front line heroes serving in their local communities across Canada,” said Yogesh Patel, Director of BAPS Charities, Canada.

BAPS Charities is thankful to its volunteers who are helping to keep healthcare professionals positive during these difficult times. Similarly, BAPS Charities volunteers in locations across Canada and around the world continue to assess the situation in their local communities to effectively provide support.
