BAPS Charities organized a memorable day trip for 112 seniors on Saturday, June 14, 2025, promoting wellness, social engagement, and active living in a safe and supportive setting. The full-day excursion was thoughtfully planned to ensure a meaningful and enjoyable experience for all participants.
The first stop was the scenic Sauble Beach, where seniors enjoyed the sunny weather and a refreshing walk along the shoreline. Many took in the fresh air and natural beauty, while group and family photographs were captured to preserve memories of the day.
In the afternoon, the group visited Harrison Park, a tranquil setting that offered ample space for rest, conversation, and light recreation. Some seniors explored the walking trails, while others enjoyed quiet moments with friends and fellow attendees. Throughout the day, participants were treated to delicious snacks and meals lovingly prepared by senior volunteers of BAPS Charities.
On the way back to Toronto, the group made a brief stop in Orangeville to stretch, refresh, and rest before continuing home.
Reflecting on the experience, participant Kokila Sachdev shared: “The day trip was beautifully organized. Surrounded by nature and good company, we felt truly cared for in our well-being. Heartfelt thanks to BAPS Charities for such a memorable and refreshing experience.”
The outing provided seniors with a much-needed opportunity to connect, relax, and enjoy the outdoors. Beyond recreation, it served as a boost to mental and emotional well-being—reducing stress and anxiety while encouraging laughter, social connection, and shared experiences. By the end of the day, many felt a renewed sense of vitality and balance.
