On June 21, 2025, BAPS Charities proudly hosted a spirited youth cricket tournament in Winnipeg, Manitoba, uniting over 72 enthusiastic participants from six teams representing diverse communities across Winnipeg.
The one-day tournament celebrated not just athleticism, but also camaraderie, sportsmanship, and community spirit. Throughout the day, teams competed in thrilling matches that kept spectators on the edge of their seats. Individual excellence was honored with awards for Best Batter and Best Bowler, recognizing standout performances on the field.
In a special highlight, the Team Spirit Award was presented to the team that best embodied the values of unity, collaboration, and mutual respect—core principles that BAPS Charities seeks to promote in all its initiatives.
More than just a competition, the event served as a meaningful platform to encourage youth to embrace physical activity and maintain a healthy lifestyle. It also offered a unique opportunity for young individuals to forge new friendships and deepen connections within and across communities.
