COVID-19 Pandemic: BAPS Charities Donates $3,000 to New Orleans’ Second Harvest Food Bank

With many businesses closed throughout New Orleans, LA, and many families adhering to the extended shelter-in-place order, food accessibility has become a major concern.  On May 5, 2020, BAPS Charities donated $3,000 and provided over 80 meals to the Second Harvest Food Bank.  The food bank’s Director of Communications & Marketing, Jay Vise, thanked BAPS Charities for their donation and stated that the Second Harvest Food Bank “serves the need of the community in these difficult times. They could not do it without the support of organizations such as BAPS Charities.”

BAPS Charities is grateful to its volunteers who have provided assistance to the local community in this time of need.  BAPS Charities has also organized and implemented several online awareness campaigns on staying healthy and safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. BAPS Charities volunteers throughout the United States and the world are assessing situations and providing support to help their communities.
