BAPS Charities Medical Camp Serves Over 300 Patients in Nairobi – September, 2026

On 27th September 2026, BAPS Charities Kenya, Nairobi Chapter, held a free Medical Camp with the support of Aster Healthcare. The camp provided the wider community with access to health screening and specialist consultations.

The response was encouraging, with more than 300 people attending throughout the day.

Each attendee began with a basic health screening. This included checks for blood pressure, height, weight, BMI and blood sugar levels. These initial checks helped the medical team identify individuals who needed further attention and direct them to the appropriate specialist.

A team of 16 doctors from the wider community and Aster Healthcare volunteered their time to provide consultations across six specialities:

  • Orthopaedics
  • General Medicine
  • Gynaecology
  • Dental
  • Nutrition Support
  • Ophthalmology

The camp gave many attendees a better understanding of their current health. For some, it was an important first step towards identifying health concerns and learning how to manage them.

The strong turnout highlighted the importance of accessible healthcare services in the community. Through initiatives such as these, BAPS Charities continues to support the health and well-being of the wider community, and looks forward to organising more medical camps and continuing its commitment to serving the community with compassion.
