BAPS Charities Hosts Ladies Luncheon Fundraiser to Help Restore Sight for the Underprivileged
On July 16th, 2025, BAPS Charities hosted a heart-warming Fundraiser dedicated to restoring sight for underserved communities in Kenya.
The event successfully raised funds to support life-changing cataract surgeries for individuals who would otherwise continue to live in preventable darkness. Cataracts remain one of the leading causes of blindness in Kenya, disproportionately affecting the elderly in low-income areas. Without access to affordable surgery, many are left unable to work, care for loved ones, or lead independent lives.
The luncheon welcomed over 100 generous donors—many of whom were engaging with BAPS Charities for the first time, creating a powerful sense of unity and purpose. A team of 20 dedicated women volunteers ensured a seamless and impactful event.
Guests enjoyed an inspiring afternoon filled with tea, delicious food, meaningful conversations, and a shared commitment to giving the gift of sight.
This initiative exemplifies BAPS Charities’ ongoing dedication to selfless service and community upliftment. With every surgery funded, a life will be transformed.
