An anti-drug addiction awareness programme was held on Sunday 1 June 2014 by the Nishtara Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Center at the Lenasia cricket stadium, south of Johannesburg. BAPS Charities volunteers provided assistance with the intention of creating a drug free community. Nishtara is a project funded by the South African Department of Social Development, aimed at assisting people with addictions to rehabilitate themselves and thereby begin life with a rejuvenated spirit. A BAPS Charities de-addiction exhibition was set up for visitors to view and volunteers were on hand to provide additional explanation where required.
