Blood Donation and Health Screening Camp, Uganda – August 2022

From 19 to 28 August 2022, BAPS Charities Uganda organized a comprehensive health and blood donation camp at Pramukh Swami Nagar as part of the birth Centenary celebrations of the leader of BAPS Charities. The initiative aimed to promote community health, provide essential medical services, and encourage active participation in life-saving activities like blood donation.

During the ten-day camp, a total of 319 units of blood were collected to support hospitals and patients in urgent need. In addition, the camp offered eye checkups (559 participants), dental checkups (131 participants), pathology tests (188 participants), and general health checkups (185 participants). These services provided comprehensive care, helping to detect and address health issues early and improve the overall well-being of the community.

Volunteers and healthcare professionals worked tirelessly to ensure smooth organization and high-quality care for all attendees. The camp also served as an opportunity to educate the public on preventive healthcare practices, the importance of regular checkups, and the critical need for voluntary blood donation.

BAPS Charities Uganda expressed heartfelt gratitude to all donors, participants, and volunteers whose support made the event possible. Their collective efforts not only strengthened local healthcare services but also embodied the spirit of service, compassion, and community engagement during the celebrations.

Through initiatives like this, BAPS Charities Uganda continues to reaffirm its commitment to the health and well-being of communities across the country, inspiring more people to contribute to life-saving causes.
