On Sunday, 21st August 2023, BAPS Charities Uganda organised a blood donation drive in Iganga Town, successfully collecting 81 pints of blood to support patients in need and strengthen the national blood supply.
Healthcare facilities across the country continue to face an acute shortage of blood. From emergency trauma cases to surgical procedures and long-term medical treatments, many lives depend on the availability of safe and timely blood transfusions. Unfortunately, persistent supply gaps at blood banks place vulnerable patients at serious risk every day.
Amid these challenges, BAPS Charities expresses its sincere appreciation to the generous donors who stepped forward with compassion and selflessness. Their willingness to donate has provided renewed hope to patients, reassurance to families, and essential support to healthcare providers.
Guided by a deep commitment to service and community wellbeing, BAPS Charities Uganda remains dedicated to addressing critical national needs. Through continued blood donation initiatives, the organisation seeks to save lives, strengthen healthcare systems, and encourage wider community participation in this vital cause.
