On Saturday, 17th May 2026, BAPS Charities organised its Annual Nationwide Blood Donation Camp across Uganda. The campaign collected 202 units of blood to support patients in hospitals and emergency care centres.
The drive took place simultaneously in Jinja, Kampala, and Lira. Volunteers, donors, and community members came together to support the lifesaving initiative. The units collected in the respective centres are as follows;
Jinja – 101
Kampala – 59
Lira – 42
Each donation will help patients undergoing surgery, receiving treatment for serious illnesses or facing medical emergencies. The camp was conducted in partnership with medical teams and followed all required health and safety guidelines.
BAPS Charities thanked all donors, volunteers, and healthcare professionals who contributed their time and effort to make the campaign successful.
The initiative reflected the organisation’s motto, “The Spirit of Service,” and its continued commitment to serving communities through healthcare and humanitarian activities.
