COVID-19 Pandemic: Hot meals Served to Health Care Professionals at Lowell General Hospital in Boston, MA

As the number of COVID-19 cases continues to rise in Massachusetts, healthcare workers remain as our vital front line during this pandemic. In recognition of their dedication, strength, and commitment, on May 13, 2020, BAPS Charities delivered 150 hot vegetarian meals to the Emergency and Trauma Center at Lowell General Hospital (LGH).

Jennifer Hanson, Director of Philanthropy at LGH, said of this gesture,  “BAPS Charities has been such a phenomenal support to our hospital staff. Your support has been such a morale booster for everyone here. Hot food was such a delightful surprise for our staff. Much appreciated.”

The hospital’s Special Events Coordinator Kacey Decker added, “Thank you BAPS Charities for all that you do for the staff here and the community. We truly appreciate BAPS for being in the forefront during these troubled times. Hot vegetarian savories are much appreciated here, everyone loved the samosas.”

Through this contribution and other relief efforts worldwide, BAPS Charities and its volunteers aim to help communities remain strong as we emerge together from the pandemic. BAPS Charities is thankful to all its sponsors and volunteers for their continuous support.
