BAPS Charities Food Drive 2025 in Calhoun, GA

BAPS Charities organizes a variety of community service initiatives that support local communities across North America. These efforts reflect BAPS Charities’ ongoing commitment to service and its partnerships with local organizations to create meaningful impact.

During the fall and winter holiday season, BAPS Charities volunteers organized initiatives to support families and individuals in need, including food drives, coat drives, flu vaccination clinics, toy drives, and school supply drives. Each effort provided tangible assistance while fostering unity and compassion among volunteers and recipients. Across North America, these projects were tailored to address the specific needs of local communities.

Food insecurity remains a significant challenge for millions of households across the United States. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), 13.5% of American households—approximately 18 million—experienced food insecurity in 2023, an increase from 12.8% in 2022. The issue is particularly pronounced among children, with USDA data indicating that nearly 14 million children lived in food-insecure households last year. Food insecurity, as defined by the USDA, refers to the inability to consistently access sufficient, affordable, and nutritious food—posing serious implications for the health and well-being of affected families.

BAPS Charities held its annual food drive on November 30, 2025, in Calhoun, GA, benefiting the Voluntary Action Center. Volunteers of all ages collected more than 250 lbs of canned and dry food items for local families in need.

These initiatives were made possible through the dedication of BAPS Charities volunteers and the generosity of donors. Elected officials and community leaders also joined in, reflecting strong community support and shared commitment to serving those in need.
