Health Fair 2009 in Clifton, NJ

BAPS Charities aims to serve individuals, families and communities in need by providing high quality, low cost health care. 

Annual health fairs are at the core of BAPS Charities’ medical services. Physicians and technicians regularly volunteer their expertise to provide medical care and advice to the increasing number of people who lack access to quality health care.

  6. Ultrasound screening for heart and gall bladder ( 39)
  7. Physical therapy ( 22)
  8. Foot examination for diabetic complications (32)  
Highlights

New Jersey Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired and its ophthalmologists diagnosed five cases of advanced diabetic retinopathy and one case of macular edema in a young man. Without these timely diagnoses, potential for blindness is extremely high. These individuals were referred to specialists for medical treatment.
