COVID-19 Pandemic: BAPS Charities donates $10,000 to Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, Ohio

The COVID-19 pandemic and specifically the Omicron variant continues to deeply impact the central Ohio community. On January 14, 2022, BAPS Charities donated $10,000 to Mount Carmel Health System to support the healthcare professionals working around the clock during these unprecedented times.

The Mount Carmel Health System remains fully engaged in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic as central Ohio experiences some of the highest numbers of cases seen to date. From providing exceptional patient and family care to standing up public-facing clinics, “Ask the Expert” virtual town halls, conducting site clinics for employer groups, and creating respite space for front-line colleagues, our battle continues.

“Every day Mount Carmel healthcare heroes work tirelessly, providing compassionate care throughout our hospitals.  After nearly two years, these healthcare heroes are both exhausted and undaunted in their focus on our patients. We are deeply appreciative of the prayers and support of our community.  BAPS Charities is a great partner and we are grateful for their extraordinary support,” said Deanna Stewart, President of the Mount Carmel Foundation.

BAPS Charities is grateful for the continuous and selfless efforts of all local community professionals during these challenging times. Its volunteers across North America continue to evaluate situations to effectively provide support by donating funds, food, and protective equipment.
