On May 31, 2025, BAPS Charities brought the community together in Columbus, OH, for its annual “Spirit of Service: Walk-Run.” This inspiring event encouraged participants to step forward in support of Feed the Kids Columbus, raising awareness about childhood food insecurity and the importance of providing consistent access to nutritious snacks and meals—especially during school breaks and throughout the school day—while also promoting service and well-being.
With over 400 participants, the event welcomed individuals of all ages, including Mayor Laurie Jadwin of the City of Gahanna, Tia Ramey, Marketing and Communications Manager for the City of Gahanna, and Councilman Stephen Renner, who all joined in solidarity for the cause. Reflecting on the day’s impact, Yvonne Peve, a representative of Feed the Kids Columbus, shared: “Community events like this help raise awareness, which in turn helps feed the kids in need.”
The BAPS Charities Walk-Run in Columbus is one of over 100 similar events held across North America as part of a broader initiative supporting local organizations. For over 20 years, BAPS Charities has organized more than 1,100 walks, making a meaningful impact in communities by supporting important causes and fostering a spirit of service and unity.
