BAPS Charities Walk-Run 2025 in Crystal Lake,IL

On June 1, 2025, BAPS Charities hosted its annual “Spirit of Service: Walk-Run” in Crystal Lake, IL, uniting nearly 250 community members for a meaningful cause. This year’s walk benefited the People For Parks Foundation of Lake in the Hills, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the community’s Parks & Recreation programs and expanding access to recreational opportunities for all.

The event drew participants of all ages—from children to seniors—and featured local leaders, including Ray Bogdanowski, Village President of Lake in the Hills; Denise Wasserman, Village official and Treasurer of the local beneficiary, People For Parks Foundation of Lake in the Hills; along with police and fire officials.

In his opening remarks, President Bogdanowski highlighted the event’s significance and commended BAPS Charities for its dedication to community service. Denise Wasserman expressed gratitude for the organization’s support and emphasized their shared goal of strengthening local communities.

Beyond promoting a noble cause, the Walk-Run encouraged healthy habits and demonstrated the power of coming together to support the community.

This BAPS Charities Walk-Run is one of over 100 similar events held across North America as part of a broader initiative benefiting local organizations. For over 20 years, BAPS Charities has organized more than 1,100 walks, making a meaningful impact in communities by supporting important causes and promoting a spirit of service and unity.
