On June 1, 2025, BAPS Charities brought the community together in Frisco, TX, for its annual “Spirit of Service: Walk-Run.” This inspiring event encouraged participants to step forward in support of two meaningful causes. The first beneficiary, The American Legion, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving veterans, active-duty service members, and their families through advocacy, community programs, and youth development. The second, Kaleidoscope Park, is committed to creating a vibrant public space where everyone feels welcome, inspired, and connected through inclusive arts, culture, and community experiences.
With over 1,400 participants, the event welcomed individuals of all ages, including U.S. Congressman Marc Veasey, who joined in solidarity for the cause. Reflecting on the day’s impact, Joanne Schumm from American Legion Post 178 in Frisco shared, “This extremely kind donation from you to our post will assure the continuation of high-quality youth programs and our scouting troop 178. We thank you for the honor of being this year’s recipient as an associated charity of the BAPS Charities Walk-Run 2025.”
