Health Fair 2009 in Washington, DC

BAPS Charities aims to serve individuals, families and communities in need by providing high quality, low cost health care. 

Annual health fairs are at the core of BAPS Charities’ medical services. Physicians and technicians regularly volunteer their expertise to provide medical care and advice to the increasing number of people who lack access to quality health care. 

In 2008, BAPS Charities Health Fairs were organized at 22 centers where 1034 health care professionals gave services to 7636 patients.

The health fair participants received the following medical screening services

Medical Counseling for all the participants was available in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Asthma, Allergy, Gastroenterology, Orthopedics, Acupuncture, Homeopathy, Dermatology, Pediatrics, Podiatry, Neurology, Surgery, Diabetes, Diet/Food & Nutrition.

Educational Activity
Participants also attended an health lecture on Diabetes, dermatology and psychology
