Health Fair 2016 in Washington, DC

Over 64 medical professionals were on hand as BAPS Charities hosted its annual Health Fair on September 25, 2016 in Washington, DC.  With the increasing cost of health care in this economy, health professionals educated over 617 attendees on various health topics and provided their expert advice on regular health checkups and other health related issues.

Number of patients seen by specialty: Internal Medicine/Family Practice (388), Cardiology (93), Gastroenterology (35), Nephrology (32), Urology (7), Podiatry (45), Dentistry (154), Physical Therapy (62), Nutrition/Dietitian (16), Ayurvedic Medicine (35). 

Number of Lab tests conducted: CBC (557), Basic Metabolic Panel (557), Lipid Panel (557), PSA (328), Thyroid Function (557), Liver Function (557), Hemoglobin A1C (557), Anemia Panel (557), Bone Marrow Registration Drive (7).

Number of Screening Tests:  Blood Pressure (452), BMI (452), Glucose (48), Bone Density (117), EKG (147), Eye exam (116), Dental exam (104), Glaucoma Screening (116), Reiki (28), Yoga (26), Hearing (124),  Breast exam (33).
